PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE


DORON PRECISION SYSTEMS, Binghamton, New York
Contract Virtual Asset Developer, 5/2010 – Present

Design 3D virtual terrain and assets for the world leader in virtual
simulations. Provide character modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation,
ensuring optimal polygon counts and texture sizes for target platform. Actively
contribute to team-oriented environment, collaborating with writers,
programmers, and engineers, sketching designs, developing prototypes, and
creating storyboards. 
Key Achievements:

 Developed two square miles of virtual open pit mine for mine operation
simulation, including terrain, structures, vehicles, and characters.

Created more than 30 real-world, highly detailed vehicles complete with
interior / exterior design and functioning doors.

Designed a four square mile virtual city for a driving simulation with
low poly modeling and 3dsMax to produce both urban city and countryside
environments.

Established an unblemished record of on-time and on-target project
delivery.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTS
Freelance Illustrator, Graphic Designer, & Animator, 6/2004 – Present
Consulted with clients to elicit requirements, share ideas, and create sketches
with traditional media, showcasing design concepts spanning web design, print
collateral, animation, and architectural design. Prepared and presented design
proposals and storyboards with Photoshop and Illustrator. Produced 3D graphics
for corporate websites and marketing materials, 3D animations and video for
streaming informational content, 2D animated graphics in Flash for websites,
and interior and exterior drawings and renderings for architectural design.

Multimedia Designer, 4/1998 – 6/2004
Provided leadership and direction for engineering documentation team, guiding
the migration from desktop publishing to interactive documentation and media
development for the intranet. Held full accountability for recruiting, hiring,
and overseeing a creative team of modelers, animators, and programmers to work
in tandem with Alpha Server engineering team, designing and producing
documentation and multimedia education to support the sales force of the super
computer division. 
Key Achievements:
 Developed interactive media and on-demand streaming video training for
cross-platform delivery, successfully reducing time to market.

Received the Award of Excellence from the Society for Technical
Communication (STC) Competition 2004 for the multimedia tour of the GS1000
Alpha Server.
Previously served as a Principal Graphic Designer in Multimedia Group with
Compaq Computer Company in Littleton, Massachusetts and as a Lead Illustrator
in the Documentation Department for Digital Equipment Corporate in Merrimack,
New Hampshire.
